ABOUT ARGYLL MAUSOLEUM LTD

Bring history to life at Historic Kilmun. This is a venue that holds so many stories on the spectacular banks of Holy Loch!

Discover the history and burial places of Argyll’s Campbell Clan chiefs and Dukes dating back hundreds of years.

Take a peek at one of the UK’s only fully restored water-powered   organs and the stunning stained glass windows designed by Stephen Adam…and much more.

Dubbed the ‘Rosslyn of the West’, the venue has attracted thousands of visitors including TV chef Rick Stein, Scottish explorer Paul     Murton and Chief Scout Bear Grylls in recent times amongst many others.

Just a 15 minute drive from Dunoon (+ hourly bus service), five minutes from the wonderful Benmore Botanic Gardens and an hour’s drive from Scotland’s Central Belt, there’s been a place of worship on this site for almost 1500 years since the time of Christian missionary St Munn.

Expert guided tours are available for individual visitors. Group tours can be booked by appointment (email info@historickilmun.org).

Historic Kilmun is open from the beginning of April until the end of October. Visit our website or social media sites for full details of the latest opening times.
